An event that has become for the first time a part of the World Federation of the Deaf’s Western and Central Africa Regional Secretariat (WCARS) will be host. This very event will allow the deaf community in Western and Central Africa to follow suit to other regional secretariats of the World Federation of the Deaf. It is the WCARS annual project forum that aims to create an effective network and structures between associations of the deaf in Western and Central Africa in order to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences.
Ivory Coast is privileged to be selected to host this forum that will take place from 4th to 8th June 2018 in Abidjan. Representatives from WFD Board, DDL, project countries, WCARS Board members and the host country of the WCARS project will attend.
During the forum, the following activities mentioned below will be conducted:
- Report of the WCARS project activities from August 2017 to May 2018
- Evaluation of the activities from August to May 2018
- Series of Training
- Meetings
- Visiting to the stakeholders
- Etc.
