WCARS Delegates attended the 18th world Congress of the WFD

As a part of the activities to further consolidate the capacity of the project countries of WCARS, 3 WCARS delegates have successfully attended the 18th World Congres of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) in Paris, France from July 19th to 27th, 2019. The aim of the participation was to enable the delegates become part of the activities of the WFD (General Assembly with the right of vote and World Congress of the WFD) and attending the knowledge and experience sharing sessions. Overall, WCARS seeked to consolidate the capacity of the project countries to fast track the development of the Targeted Deaf Associations and other project countries.

The project team of WCARS project are grateful to Danish Deaf Association (DDL) and the DDL Development Manager Project, Mr Kasper Bergmann for the massive support which enabled the delegates to gain new knowledge and insight in deaf related issues in the areas of human rights, sign language linguistics, health, employment, technology, and development cooperation benefitting to the project Associations and deaf community in Togo, Mali, Niger and Ivory Coast.
